About Emma
Emma Thatcher
On the home front Emma has grown up with German Shepherds and Cocker Spaniels, now owning cross breeds through a switch to adopting rescues, and now has a Collie Cross, Saluki Cross 2 rescue German Shepherds. Spaniels and German Pointers remain great loves as well. Guinea pigs, Hamsters, Rabbits, Horses, Budgies, Chickens, Tropical fish and Gerbils all come in the list of animals owned and cared for over the years, not forgetting the various, crows, pigeons, wild rabbits etc that have been helped after injury and returned to the wild.
Apart from being an accomplished horse woman with two horses (mother and daughter), Emma also includes,5 dogs and 1 cat, 2 rabbits and a parrot to her 'Home Team'

Upon return financial constraints eventually dictated that a 'proper job' and a mortgage should be found. Monetary drive then lead to establish a very successful career in recruitment for AndersElite, achieving Divisional Manager for South West and Wales. Although enjoyable Emma still craved to return to working with animals.
Whilst working in recruitment, Emma's main issue became the day care for her rescue dog Morgan. No dog should be left on their own for an entire day and Emma found herself out the house from 6am until 6pm. Luckily she had the assistance of her retired father who provided a 'day crèche', but this scenario did highlight a need that must be felt by others in the Monmouthshire area.

Following redundancy from her role due to the prevailing economical climate, Emma grabbed the opportunity and created Monmouthshire Animal Care in 2010, an all encompassing home animal help service, specifically aimed at the working family who want to provide the best for their four legged friends, either during the week or whilst away from the home. As the years have gone on the business has gravitated (by demand) toward canine care roles. Via 1-2-1 behavioural lessons and the achievement of Dog Grooming qualifications at Hartpury College.
The lure of recruitment was salways strong, and so Emma has returned to a business that fills the best of both worlds. She now runs Virgo Recruitment (established in 2016)from home, whilst also continuing to provide Canine training and behaviour lessons on a consultancy basis. Emma has chosen Veterinary Recruitment as this fits beautifully with her passions, and now gets to talk to fellow animal lovers all day, whilst assisting people is this fantastic profession!! - A great mix
